Installation
Sonix IPTV installation guide
Choose your device family below. Each set of steps assumes you already have the playlist details we send once your order is confirmed.
Before you begin
A Sonix IPTV subscription is used through a compatible IPTV player application on your own device. Support for a particular player depends on your device model and its app store, so confirm your setup with our team before you subscribe.
Setup takes most people under ten minutes. The two things that slow it down are typing long details with a television remote, and waiting for the channel list to load for the first time. Neither is a fault; both are worth knowing about in advance.
- Your order confirmed and the playlist details we sent you to hand.
- The device connected to your network and fully updated.
- A few uninterrupted minutes for the first load to complete.

Smart TVs
Available players differ between television platforms and model years. Where a suitable player is not offered for your set, a small streaming box or stick connected over HDMI is the usual alternative.
- Connect the television to your network and install any pending system update.
- Open your television app store and look for a compatible IPTV player for your platform and model year.
- If no suitable player is offered for your set, connect a streaming stick or box over HDMI and follow that device guide instead.
- Enter the playlist details we sent you exactly as they appear, including any username, password or URL.
- Allow the channel list and programme guide to finish loading the first time. This can take a minute or two.
- Open a channel to confirm playback, then adjust the quality setting in the player if you need to.
Amazon Fire TV and Firestick
Install a compatible player from the Amazon Appstore on the device, then enter the playlist details our team sends you. Keep the device on a stable connection for the best result.
- Connect your Fire TV stick or box to a free HDMI port and complete the Amazon setup if the device is new.
- From the Fire TV home screen, search the Amazon Appstore for a compatible IPTV player and install it.
- Open the player once so that it finishes its first-run setup.
- Enter the playlist details we sent you exactly as they appear, including any username, password or URL.
- Allow the channel list and programme guide to finish loading the first time. This can take a minute or two.
- Open a channel to confirm playback, then adjust the quality setting in the player if you need to.
Android TV and Google TV
Several well-established IPTV players are distributed through Google Play. Choose one, add your playlist details, and your channel list and guide populate inside that player.
- Sign the device in to your Google account so that the Play Store is available.
- Search Google Play for a compatible IPTV player and install it.
- Open the player and choose the option to add a playlist or an external source.
- Enter the playlist details we sent you exactly as they appear, including any username, password or URL.
- Allow the channel list and programme guide to finish loading the first time. This can take a minute or two.
- Open a channel to confirm playback, then adjust the quality setting in the player if you need to.
Apple TV
Player availability on tvOS is narrower than on Android, so check which player you intend to use before buying hardware for this purpose.
- Confirm which tvOS player you intend to use, because availability on Apple TV is narrower than on other platforms.
- Install that player from the App Store on the Apple TV itself.
- Open the player and select the option to add an external playlist.
- Enter the playlist details we sent you exactly as they appear, including any username, password or URL.
- Allow the channel list and programme guide to finish loading the first time. This can take a minute or two.
- Open a channel to confirm playback, then adjust the quality setting in the player if you need to.

Troubleshooting in order
Work down this list in order. It is arranged from the most common cause to the least, so most problems are solved before you reach the bottom.
- Restart the player application, then the streaming device itself.
- Run a speed test on the same device and network you are watching on, not on a different one.
- Use a wired connection where the device supports it, or move closer to the router.
- Lower the stream quality in your player if the picture stalls repeatedly.
- Check whether other devices in the house are downloading large files at the same time.
- Confirm that you are not exceeding the number of simultaneous connections on your plan.
- If one channel misbehaves while the rest play normally, send us the channel name so we can look at that source.
